So let's get started with my style of photography.  The name of the site is Chasing Sunlight.  It seems that's what I'm always doing.  I love to photograph outdoors, in nature.  I see great lighting taking shape and start chasing it to find the perfect spot to grab some shots.  Sometimes they turn out better than I hoped, and sometimes they don't.  Sometimes I have my "big boy" Canon DSLR and sometimes I may only have my iPhone.  Regardless of the camera or how the photos turn out, I enjoy being in the moment in nature.

So my style leans heavily towards nature, landscapes, wildlife, flowers, and any other subject material that gets me outside.  While I appreciate great camera bodies with high grade glass in front of them, I try not to be a camera snob.  Several of the photos in my galleries were taken with my iPhone - the camera you have with you is the best camera.  Capture the light, remember that moment!

40th Birthday Sunrise

The above photo was taken on the morning of my 40th birthday.  We took a trip to Pensacola, FL to celebrate my big 4-0.  My goal was to start my day and new decade by walking along the beach, enjoying the beautiful weather, and hopefully grabbing a worthwhile photo or two.  It was a great day!
